Aurora's Youth Services Division Runs City Sports Programs and Registration

The City of Aurora, IL Youth Services Division offers a multi-sport Sports Festival for 7th and 8th grade students that centers on sportsmanship, teamwork and civic pride, with eligibility limited to those earning an A or B grade in physical education.

Program Reach Across Age Groups

Aurora's Youth Sports office delivers recreational leagues and camps serving participants from ages 3 to 18. These offerings form the core infrastructure that channels young residents into organized sport through consistent city-managed channels rather than scattered private options.

Registration and Access Systems

Registration for all youth sports activities routes through the Active Net system hosted at AuroraPROS.org/Register. This centralized platform supports the full range of leagues and camps, allowing families to enroll in the programs run by the Youth Sports office without navigating multiple external providers.

Targeted Participation Initiatives

The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department runs the She Plays Aurora campaign to raise girls' involvement in youth sports. The effort complements the Sports Festival and broader recreational offerings by directing resources toward one demographic segment while the overall system remains open to all eligible students.

These city-operated components together supply the venues, scheduling and administrative backbone for youth sport in Aurora. Families seeking to join can access the Active Net portal at AuroraPROS.org/Register to review current options managed by the Youth Sports office.
